The 35-year-old performer came out in an oversize, glittery red Christmas ornament chair and had dancers dressed up as presents, her band dolled up like toy soldiers and a big ‘ol pink and purple, cartoon-like Christmas tree on stage. She dropped her new single, “Harleys in Hawaii,” last month, which she played during her set, but she was more about bringing the Christmas spirit.

It has been a minute since we’ve heard from pop songstress Katy Perry. However, it was a little heartbreaking to watch the diehard BTS fans, who had tried to no avail to get inside, walk away sadly in the rain as the official 2019 Jingle Ball kicked-off in the venue. There were also a ton of people who came without tickets to the main event inside The Forum - with performances by Katy Perry, BTS, Billie Eilish, Sam Smith, Camila Cabello, Halsey, Lizzo and Normani - that ended up winning their way in.
It wasn’t the size of an audience that would show up for free entertainment on a normal bright and sunny Southern California day, however thousands still braved the elements to check out sets by boy band In Real Life, singer-songwriter AJ Mitchell and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson on the outdoor stage. The weekend rainstorm moved in a bit early, but despite the colder and wetter weather, pop music fans still turned out for the free KIIS/102.7 FM Jingle Ball Pre-Show Village in the parking lot of The Forum in Inglewood on Friday afternoon.
